This sexy machine is extremely hard to find info on. HSR stands for Highly Sophisticated-transport Research. Mitsubishi built an HSR concept every 2 years starting in 1987 and ending in 1997. The HSR II had active aerodynamics (1989). They appear to have worked similar to the Pagani Hyuara. But the best source for info

So, my question for you... What the hell does the drawing on its hood mean? The same shape is on the passenger side of the dash, and on other HSR models. Here it is on the hood of the earlier 1987 version,

Also the HSR II had a clamshell opening roof along with the 2 doors. Seriously cool for 1989.

If you know what that thing on the hood is, please let me know

I remember winning it(?) in GT4 and thinking “meh, just another strange looking Japanese concept”. Decided to take it out for a spin either way, and my jaw was on the floor at the first corner.

Quickly picked it back up when it became clear its handling couldn’t fulfill the theatric promises.

There’s the answer I was looking for. After coming across an image of it over the weekend, I couldn’t remember what the hell it was. & the screen on the dash with the image just confused me more. Good job & thanks

No prob!

I just have no idea what it has to do with the car. Kinda interesting they integrated it into the digital display like that, as though parts of the hummingbird graphic represent parts of the car itself. Very scifi.
