I did splurge on the $50 AMG Door Pins (that’s $25 each). That said, this $116,139 C63 S Cabriolet is pretty close to a compelling deal! If it had the Maybach name then I could see it and the AMG GT Convertible catching both ends of the spectrum for Aston Martin Vantage GT Convertible shoppers and first time Porsche 911 Convertible shoppers.

Im telling you all some how the worlds of automotive financing will figure out a way for us to be able to afford payments on $100,000 cars with $50,000 salaries. I mean cars are the second most expensive purchase most people make in their lifetimes and with the average new car going for $34,000 and the average new house price being $360,000...well that gap is going to get A LOT closer than it is now.

Some funny things. This car exists kind of only in theory, as I don’t know if a real buyer would tick every box in the amusingly priced MB bling accessory catalog. Still, getting it over 100K MSRP is realistic. But nobody pays MSRP for something like this, or so I hope. 100K aint what it used to be though. I wish the average price in my zipcode was only 360K!

This is the new Belle Epoque (remember how the last one ended). Every time the FIRE sector issues bonuses, or a plane full of offshore “investors” lands, things like this sell. The margins on something like this have to be huge, so volume doesn’t have to be too large to keep it in the lineup.

I suspect these will mostly be leased. With subsidized residuals via creative accounting, I suspect it can be had for 1K/month or so. There are enough young “professionals” out there to move a few at that.
