This gave me a pang of feeling old. I remember these from my childhood. Someone on my street DD’d one and it looked a lot nicer than this even though it was probably 8-12 years old at the time.

They’re hideously-ill-proportioned cars with classic malaise quality. I considered them old when I was a kid (not that I had much experience with even contemporary cars, aside from a Hyundai Excel, considering I grew up in a ghetto and the newest car my parents had during my childhood (a 1970 VW T2 Transporter) was 18 years old when they acquired it), now it boggles my mind that they’re desirable...

1977. 1976 had the Monte Carlo emblem in the grille, 77 made it a hood ornament.
