Car-wise this was actually a good year for me. I finally got the POS Camaro back on the road after over a decade of being inert. I hoping that this year will see it become at least somewhat presentable and maybe even play with getting it a bit faster.

After being for sale for nearly three months, I gave myself until today for the Roadmaster to either sell or I would keep it. It sold two days ago, just under the wire. I know it was the right thing to do, but I very much have mixed feelings about letting go of the old beast.

As of tonight, it’s still in the shop.
My mom’s journey has been much the same. Diagnosed with cancer in February. In full remission in June. Cancer came back with a vengeance in December. She’s starting her year with more chemotherapy.
Here’s hoping for a better 2017.

RIP to my 0 accident driving record. The van in front came to a stop. I came to a stop. The Hyundai Sonata behind me did not come to a stop and punched my bumper. Minor damage to my car and more damaging to my ego.

This was our girl three years ago in March, the day we got her.
and her last clean in March this year, the day before she went to be replaced by Piglet.
You can just make out a slight ding on the rear wing on the horizontal meeting point with the rear bumper, along with slight kerbing on one of the alloy wheels was all that was wrong after three years ownership.
By all accounts she’s still living happily down in the south of England.

In October after various testing I found out I have serious spinal problems and need surgery. I moved back in with my parents (I’m 21, have been living away from home for 3 years) and had to sell my beloved 2009 C70.

There’s an older lady in town with an Allroad identical to yours. It makes me think of you every time I see it around.

I sold the car that was the subject of my first Oppo post , and whose review got frontpaged. After a fender-bender late last year, and another case of ridiculous oil leakage, I realised that it was time to move on and let it go. I managed the first part easily enough, picking up a 2015 Golf GTI early this year. The second part, however, took rather longer, and it only went on to a new owner a month or so ago.
I’m sad about it, yes, but at the same time, I’ve had some wonderful cars come into my life this year. The aforementioned GTI , the family-heirloom Triumph , and even (I’m sorry, Opposaurus...) an Audi Allroad . They’ve all enriched my life and infuriated me in equal measure, and I love them all.

I’ve had severe scoliosis for years. I went to a specialist for the past 5 years for xrays every 6 months and he said it wasn’t progressing so I was okay. The pain has gradually gotten worse over the past 3 years so I finally decided to get an MRI done elsewhere. My scoliosis has caused bulging and herniated discs, pinched nerves, bone spurs and spinal degeneration. I’m only 21 and the discs in my lower back are almost completely worn out and see thru on the MRI.
