I’be seen three Hellcat Challengers/Charger driving around with those bright yellow shipping covers on their purchased cars. Not just test drives! Is this like leaving the tag on your hats or something? Am I not hip? I like the stylistic idea but I’m not sure this is the best way to go about implementing it. But I also don’t have a Hellcat so what do I know...

Maybe a trip hazard warning? I never had a chance to see them up close before, I thought it was some sort of reflective tape for legal reasons or whatnot!

So that it doesn’t hurt the inflated resale value that they don’t really have anymore.

Considering I regularly see these awful things, usually on expensive cars, I’m assuming it’s poor taste.

That actually is a reasonable idea. Also, have you noticed the abundance of Hellcats in the Midlands?

How well is it attached? Is it something that a pothole or train tracks could shake off?

The local Sumter all-things-Mopar dealership has sold a few (typically to military personnel (namely officers) from the Shaw Air Force base located less next door. There’s a black one that I’ve seen for sale and on the street once with the yellow guards intact and I think they still have a white Hellcat Challenger for sale with the guards still on.

Way back in the olden days, we had a guy buy his mother an impala ss ( car) in burgundy. He also traded his black one and bought a green one (they just had added colour options that year) .
Both cars were to be delivered with the floor plastic intact. No covers or tags were to be removed either. Just the plastic on the seats. I guess it was an investment for him. I bet he still uses AOL.

I see at least 2 a day, and rarely the same one. Same with Chevy SS’s.

Yes! I also had this doubt as I have seen several with them in Mexico.

Maybe I am weird, but I actually like the look? I never realized those were removable. (or covers for that matter, thought it was painted on)

No, it photographs great! I thought the same.
